What LLCity is
LLCity is a filing and compliance service. We prepare and file entity documents with state filing offices, we serve as the agent of record where a state requires one, and we track the recurring deadlines that come after. We are not a law firm. Using this site, reading a guide on it or sending us an enquiry does not create an attorney–client relationship, and nothing published here is legal or tax advice for your situation.
The information here is general — the rules are not
Almost nothing in this field is national. What your state calls the agent it requires, what your formation document is called, whether there is a recurring filing at all and how often it falls due — all of it turns on the state and on the entity type. Our pages say so where they can, and where we state a statutory fact we record the filing office or statute it came from and the month we last reviewed it. Anything we have not yet been able to verify is labelled as a draft wherever it appears.
Even so, statutes and filing-office practice change. Treat what you read here as the starting point for your own filing, not the last word on it — confirm anything you are relying on with the filing office, or ask us and we will check it against your state.
No outcome is promised
Filing offices decide what they accept and how quickly they process it. We prepare the filing, submit it to the right office and tell you what your deadlines are; we cannot promise an approval, a processing time or a particular result. Where a page describes what a filing does, it describes the filing — not a guarantee about your entity.
A request through this site is not an engagement
Sending the filing form, signing up for updates or emailing [email protected] starts a conversation. It does not by itself engage LLCity or commit either of us to anything. The scope of the work, and the terms under which it is carried out, are set out in the service agreement between you and LLCity — not on this page and not on the form.
Nothing here is a quotation
No page on this site is an offer or a quotation. Pricing is custom to your portfolio of entities and states, and is confirmed with you directly — most quotes are same-day. State fees are set by the state, and we confirm them with you before anything is filed.
What you tell us
We file what you give us. Filing offices hold the record to the accuracy of what was submitted, so give us correct information and tell us when it changes — an address, an officer, a name, or a new state you have started operating in. What the site does with what you send is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Links out
We link to Secretaries of State, statutes and federal agencies so that you can check what we say against the source. Those sites are not ours: we do not control what they publish, when they move a page, or what they do with a visit.

The writing, guides, data tables and design on this site belong to LLCity. LLCity and For Every State of Business™ are our marks. Quote us with a link; do not republish a page or a table wholesale as your own.
