Each row is read from the jurisdiction’s own filing office and statute — linked in the source column — and carries the month it was last reviewed. 52 of 52 rows are confirmed against that primary source.
What it leaves out
Fees and amounts. They change more often than the rules and differ by entity type, so the state’s own fee schedule is the only place to read them. Nothing here is legal advice.

Agent of record rule by jurisdiction
The term is the one the jurisdiction’s own forms use. Arizona and Ohio say statutory agent, several states say resident agent, California says agent for service of process, and Pennsylvania requires a registered office with no agent at all.
