Where there is no professional LLC, a licensed practitioner usually incorporates under the jurisdiction’s professional corporation law instead — Alaska, California, Colorado and Delaware are among them.
Some jurisdictions also put the licensing board in the filing path, so the office will not accept the formation document without the board’s certificate; others do not involve the board at all. Each LLCity PLLC page says which, with the statute and the month it was checked.
