Governing statute: Fla. Stat. § 605.0113 (appointment/acceptance in §§ 605.0113–605.0117)
The registered agent must maintain a registered office at a physical Florida street address identical to the agent’s business address; a PO box alone is not sufficient. The agent must sign a written acceptance.
The agent must be available at that Florida street address during normal business hours to accept service of process and forward notices.

Failing to maintain a registered agent (and the related failure to file the annual report) exposes the LLC to administrative dissolution and to default judgments from lawsuits it never receives.
