What does Oregon require of your registered agent?
The rule
Governing statute: ORS 63.111 (LLC registered office and agent), ORS 60.111 (corporations) and ORS 63.787 (annual report)
The registered office address must be a physical street address located in Oregon where the registered agent maintains a business office and can accept or sign for legal service. A post office box or a mail forwarding business does not qualify, because process has to be physically served on a person.
The registered office is the physical street address where the registered agent is located during normal business hours, and it is also where the Corporation Division mails correspondence, renewal notices and late notices unless you give a separate mailing address.
If you have no agent
If your agent resigns or is removed, the business must designate a new one; failure to designate a new registered agent results in administrative dissolution. A registered agent who resigns must remain available to accept service for thirty days after the Corporation Division is notified, and if nobody can be served, the Secretary of State can accept service as agent for the business.

Can you be your own registered agent in Oregon?

Oregon states plainly that an entity cannot designate itself as its own registered agent, but an individual owner who lives in Oregon and has an Oregon street address may serve. Do I need a registered agent in Oregon?
Yes. An Oregon LLC or corporation must continuously maintain a registered agent and registered office in the state under ORS 63.111 and ORS 60.111. The registered office must be a physical Oregon street address where legal process can be personally served, and the person or business named must have consented to serve.
Can I be my own registered agent in Oregon?
You can personally, but your company cannot name itself — Oregon prohibits an entity from serving as its own registered agent. An individual owner who resides in Oregon may serve if the registered office is their Oregon street address, staffed during business hours. What happens if my Oregon LLC has no registered agent?
